Peugeot has had a strong month in the LCV market, with Partner remaining the best-selling compact van in 2026 according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
Peugeot registered 9,801 vans in September and 23,170 vans across 2026 - an increase of 4,599 registrations compared to September 2025. This continues the impressive growth trajectory for Peugeot in the LCV market. Peugeot holds an 8.8% share of the LCV market, with success driven by considerable sales of Partner, the UK’s best-selling compact van year-to-date (YTD). The popularity of Partner is highlighted by an increase in sales of 2,433 year-on-year. Accounting for over one-fifth of all compact van sales with a 22% share of the segment, PARTNER registrations stand at 12,230 units YTD.
Steve Wass, Managing Director, Peugeot UK said: “Partner continues to lead the compact van market, testament to its capabilities and our commitment to supporting professionals over the last 30 years. Retail sales have been an area of focus for us, and it is very good to see the strong growth of 11% in passenger cars and 72% for LCV YTD.”
Partner recently marked its 30th anniversary, with more than 2.6 million units sold across three generations (including Rifter) and is well established as a trusted business tool, recognised for its reliability, durability and versatility. Introduced in 2018 and substantially updated in 2023, the third-generation Partner, built on the advanced EMP2 platform, adopts the Peugeot i-Cockpit® in line with the brand’s passenger car range. Available in standard and long wheelbase versions (with the latter also offered as a crew van), it marked a significant step forward with the introduction of the fully electric E-Partner alongside the diesel powertrains. A mild hybrid version will join the range from 2027.
